Applied Biosystems TaqMan RNA-to-CT 1-Step Kit provides consistent RNA target quantification for a variety of assays and Validated with Applied Biosystems TaqMan Gene Expression Assay Comprehensive Library. This kit is recommended for a variety of applications, including general gene expression studies, biomarker discovery, and microarray validation.

TaqMan RNA-to-CT 1-Step Kit features include:
Provides accurate measurements over a wide dynamic range and ensures reliable performance
•Validated with TaqMan Gene Expression Assay , simple experimental setup
• Consistent performance across a variety of targets, including AT-rich, GC-rich sequences, and long sequences
• 1-Step format means fewer pipetting steps, reduced Eliminates the opportunity for errors

Efficiency over a wide range of loading concentrations
Greater flexibility in loading amounts of RNA template allows you to implement a wide range of template amounts Excellent real-time PCR efficiency. Figure 1 shows superior amplification efficiency spanning 6 orders of magnitude. The results are comparable to those of the TaqMan RNA-to-CT 2-Step Kit, and there are significant improvements in dynamic range and sensitivity relative to the TaqMan One-Step RT-PCR Master Mix reagent.

High sensitivity at low target concentrations
The TaqMan RNA-to-CT 1-Step Kit has been validated using synthetic RNA templates with known copy numbers. Significant sampling errors occur when measuring low concentration targets, so statistical analysis using multiple replicate experiments is required for correct evaluation. Figure 2 shows the expected number of targets and the corresponding average CT values. Statistical analysis showed that the samples were quantified with high confidence based on T-tests (Table I), with results consistent with as few as 10 copies of the target.

*The results depend on a variety of factors, including assay design.
